Flugzeugfeuerzeug ohne Marke
I bought this airplane lighter at the OTLS convention. It is one of my favorite colors so I just couldn't resist. ******** Ich habe dieses Flugzeugfeuerzeug auf der OTLS-Convention gekauft. Es ist eine meiner Lieblingsfarben, daher konnte ich einfach nicht widerstehen.

Even though this is a large eye-catching piece, it has a simple manual mechanism. The snuffer is attached to the front edge of the wing lid; it must be raised before striking. The sparking wheel is attached to the same axel as the propeller. Turning the propeller by hand turns the wheel to create the spark. ********* Auch wenn dies ein großer Hingucker ist, verfügt es über einen einfachen manuellen Mechanismus. Der Snuffer ist an der Vorderkante des Flügeldeckels angebracht. es muss angehoben werden, bevor man zuschlägt. Das Funkenrad ist an der gleichen Achse wie der Propeller befestigt. Durch Drehen des Propellers von Hand wird das Rad gedreht, um den Funken zu erzeugen.

This lighter is totally unmarked. The previous owner thinks it was made in the U.S. during the 1940s. I have only seen this lighter once before, in the Volker Putz Museum. Can anyone share information about this piece? ****** . Dieses Feuerzeug ist völlig unmarkiert. Der Vorbesitzer glaubt, dass es in den 1940er Jahren in den USA hergestellt wurde. Ich habe dieses Feuerzeug nur einmal im Volker Putz Museum gesehen. Kann jemand Informationen über dieses Stück teilen?

Does someone know about aviation history? Maybe the style of this plane is modeled after aircraft from the country where it was produced. I am not knowledgeable about this topic but maybe it is a PT-17 Stearman? http://www.aviationheritage.com/aircraft.cfm
